Ironic Last Words

In the new video shot with a cellphone it shows some interchange between Saddam and the observers. According to ABC Blog Bizarre Bazaar some in the crowd were taunting him with the name of the guy who should next be at the end of a rope: al Sadr. So Saddam is standing there with a rope around his neck with ticket to hell in his hand and what words does he choose to shoot back. He tells the taunters to "Go to hell". Quite ironic. Where he is now at, I am sure those words are taunting him.

    "go to hell"

I guess it is true that we yearn for company, even in hell.

For my part, I'm glad Saddam is gone from the face of the earth and, incidentally, that the Iraq justice system is both swift and sure,,,, that is truly refreshing.

It is amazing that there are so many around the world that do not share your refreshment at the swift justice. I saw the front page yesterday of one of the Chicago papers (Sun Times or Tribune) and it said something like "Was Justice too Soon". What kind of mentality is concerned about the likes of Saddam. I think these would have been the same toward Hitler if he had been captured.

What a crazy world. We can't get sympathy for an innocent woman or child walking the streets of Jerusalem, but you can find plenty of sympathy for Saddam.
