Republicans haven't lost their spine, they've had to swallow a dose of humility and are temporarily depressed. For years you've been smug, self-righteous and over-confident. The fact is neither party, neither conservatives or liberals have all the answers. We Democrats are feeling our oats, but left unchecked we will become smug, self-righteous and over-confident. Take a deep breath and get back in the fight. Checks and balances are not just a good way to run a government. We need two strong political parties to keep each other honest. But please, could you just once in awhile concede a Democrat might have a good idea?
