Time and Passion
For some time now I have been posting very little and I thought I would offer a word of explanation. At this particular juncture in life I find that I have very little time left after meeting my duties of work and family. In times past my time has been the same, yet I managed to put out some posts frequently. I think we tend to make time for what we are passionate about. There are limitations to that statement though. We may be passionate about gardening, but only have any time when it is night and cannot garden very effectively in the dark. Blog posting can be done at any time of day, so if there is enough passion it can be done.
I have had difficulty finding any passion within myself to write about world events. Sometimes when something happens I have a brief fire within me, but cannot write until a day or two. By then I am yawning about it. Other times I feel that the world is so brainwashed by leftist thinking that anything I have to say is like throwing a cup of water into a burning building. It is true if enough people threw a cup of water, the fire would go out. Sometimes it is hard to resist the thought that nobody will miss my cup.
The Logic Lifeline is a piece of my soul that I have given for others to see. When others appreciate it I am glad I did. For that reason I am not willing to let it go, but for now I just do not know when I will have enough passion to contribute anything frequently. I feel badly when I see in my Sitemeter that many of my loyal readers take the time to come here and see if there is something new, knowing that only sometimes will they have something new to read. I feel worse when I see that some have given up for now and do not return.
Maybe it is a summer slump. Maybe when the election cycle is in full vigor, my zeal will return. Maybe if, God forbid, a Dem becomes president I will rise to counter him/her. I truly believe that the Left has much egg that will fly on their face on issues such as global warming, the war on terror, taxation, the Bush economy, illegal immigration and more. When the time comes I want to be here to join the egg tossing. For now, I trudge along as best I can and try to keep the coals burning until I am ready to stoke the flame.

I blog because it's one of my only outlets to vent. I wonder, though, if I didn't have people to share with, would I continue blogging. Blogging is as much a participatory endeavour as acting is, for me. You wouldn't do it if you didn't have an audience.
I find I spend way too much time, though. I might need to find the balance.
I'm sure people will keep checking back. I know I will.
Cheers,

Thanks Incognito. You are right. It is a blend of expression and the knowledge that someone more than you enjoys said expression. I always am fueled by comments to write more if there was a base passion to begin with.
I think my loss of passion is rooted in how static the political scene has been for some time now. Like watching a tug of war match go on and on without either side in danger of being dragged into the mud. I have such a sense of lack of progress in many areas of my life that politics is just another extension of stasis.
I am sure it will come back and it is good to know you will be there when it does.

AICS,
I'll keep checking too. We never know when the fire will strike.
In the meantime, the best to you and your family.

I think you and I both need a dynamic conservative leader to rise up and lead this country away from the abyss.
That would get you stoked.

Well my friend, sometimes you have to take a break from things and make sure the truly important things are taken care of.
Those of us that appreciate what you have done here, will always understand. We will always remain hopeful that when we come, there will be something. But we all know that there might not be. Either way, we still check.
Most of all, you have to to do this because you enjoy it. You have to get satisfaction from it, or it will not be the least bit fulfilling. By forcing the issue, when you don't feel it, does much to discourage. By recognizing this, you have chosen to scale back until such time as you see fit and it's nothing to feel bad about.
I personally will not hold this against you, but if you don't e-mail me and come down on one of your flights for a day, I will send my cousin Antonio (he's on call this month) to personally escort you down. ;)

Hey Pally,
I know exactly where you are coming from, but my reason for backing off is different. When I started A CONCEPTUAL KICK IN THE ASS on July 4th 2005 BushCo were the undisputed champions and all they espoused was the GODLY Truth. Anyone who questioned the motives of their Admin and what they did was either labeled a commie, a Liberal, or a Terrorist. Now we see that all that Bush and GOP called truth was either a LIE or just PLAIN WRONG. Iraq is going down the tubes and those that were foolish enough to believe in it and the CAUSE are paying the price with unlimited tours of duty and long absences from home with no real financial support. Bush and the WHORES in the Democratic Party are pushing to let ALL Illegals become citizens to supply cheap labor to their COPORATE Masters as the Middle Class is bled dry. The country is mired in Debt owed to China and India. The same China that we are on a collision course with. The GOP’s beloved CEO PREZ has ran the country into the ground like he did every business he ever touched out in the REAL WORLD.
Bush found the country in relative prosperity and for the most part at peace and took it to a worse place. I really no longer post that much as it has become apparent by the poll numbers that America, even in the most inbred and Dimmest of Red States realize now what I and many others knew long ago that being “the Bush Administration is a Miserable FAILURE”. Also, he has set your beloved GOP back further than Nixon. And just think this Idiot has until Jan of 2008 to continue to bury your party and the nation. To sum it all up I no longer write and post all that much as that all that I predicted about this Incompetent Nitwit and his corrupt administration has come to pass and it there for all to see.
God help the country, but then again I guess the old saying is true: WE DESERVE THE GOVERNMENT WE ELECT!
Keep the faith pally!
