Hugo Chavez Questions Patriotism of Those Who Disagree With Him

Hugo Chavez, the darling of the American Left, is questioning the patriotism of any Venezuelans that vote against granting him the ability to be dictator for life. According to AP:
President Hugo Chavez warned his supporters on Friday that anyone voting against his proposed constitutional changes would be a "traitor," rallying his political base before a referendum that would let him seek unlimited re-election in 2012 and beyond.
The usual knee-jerk reaction of American liberals is to cry that their patriotism is being questioned whenever they are criticized for positions that are contrary to those of the current administration. While I have rarely heard claims against their patriotism, the left simply cannot abide any criticism of their beliefs. I have heard several key liberals question the patriotism of some conservatives. Since they will be unwilling to relinquish their love affair with Chavez, look to the left for similar inconsistency in dealing with Hugo's new label for dissenters.

Chavez rebukes anyone who doesn't bow down to him..he's a pathetic idiot...

By the way.. (off topic) have you visited Housewife4 Palestine recently? What's up with HRM Queen Deborah or whatever she is now. Months and months ago, she wrote a post about how she was sick and probably dying because the Israelis were poisoning the Palestinians... I challenged her on that.. but...
now she says Abbas is trying to have her killed ...and in another post that her grandmother Dora is or was Queen of Palestine.. I always thought she was loony.. but this takes the cake.

I visit her site every now and then. However, I never find anything new. 1/3 feel good stuff, 1/3 Islamic promotion, 1/3 psychotic hatred against Israel and the US.

She and I butted heads early on. In a bid to try and better understand her we mutually agreed to be civil to each other. I had high hopes she was simply extremely deluded, but otherwise possibly a nice person. It sure doesn't square with the utter hatred and venom she spews on her site. I have given up trying to figure her out. If you ever do, let me know.

    Jacob...

I personally have pictures of Hugo Chavez arm-in-arm with both Danny Glover and Cindy Sheehan... He is pals with Castro - Another darling of the Left... And he is propping up the President of Iran - Who the Left also supports through their Anti-War propaganda and activities.

AICS knows what he's talking about and has labelled Chaves accurately.

    Jacob,

If you have any quotes of lefties denouncing Chavez, I would be interested in seeing them. All I see are a long line of liberal celebrities traveling down to see him and gaga over him. They did the same for Castro when he was in better health.

I agree he's definitely the darling of the loony left and the loony actors.

As for Peace 4.. there's something wrong there.. can't figure it out.. maybe someone else took over her blog.. but it's definitely a different person.. even her profile changed.
ah well.. i find her a tad boring now.

And how about Jacob a few lines up?

Left-leaning loonies, all of us. And all denouncing Chavez...

Mojo is right. Whatever you call Chavez, a man who rules as despotically as he does is not by any rational definition a "liberal".

Honestly guys, points like this are so simple. It's like... second grade maths or something.
