The Charlie Gibson Effect on Bill Clinton

Bill Clinton said recently about Sarah Palin:
"I come from Arkansas. I get why she’s hot out there — why she’s doing well. You know, people look at her and they say — all those kids. Something happens in everybody’s family.”
When applying the Charlie Gibson "exact words" method, Bill Clinton actually said:
"I get why she’s hot"
Exact words.

    This is referencing Gibson's taking select but exact words out of Sarah Palin's quote to completely change the meaning of what she said. When she challenged him that she thought he had the quote wrong, he countered with "exact words".
