Boortz Profiles Muslim and Nails It

Tuesday radio hos Neil Boortz was commenting on the early reports of the shooting in Salt Lake City. He said:
We've all heard about the teenager who killed five people at a mall in Salt Lake City. On Fox News last night I heard the kid described as a Bosnian.

My guess is that in just a few days we'll find out that this kid was a Muslim.

Let's see just how wrong I am here.
Of course he was not wrong. Wednesday Boortz describes how he nailed his prediction:
Sulejmen Talovic was a Muslim immigrant from Bosnia. When he went into that shopping center yesterday he had a backpack that was loaded down with ammunition, a shotgun and a 38 caliber handgun. It seems clear to Salt Lake City law enforcement that he wanted to kill as many people as he could. Thankfully the police sent him to his eternal sand nap.
Basically these days when there are such crimes, you can bank on the terrorist being a Muslim. Sure the left has their one or two token non-Muslims that commit such crimes, but they are an anomoly. When there are other crimes of murder and sexual assault and the news is strangely silent about the details of the offender we often find later that it is an illegal immigrant from Mexico. It seems the media is strangely without curiosity when it comes to Muslims and illegals. Of course if there was a bombing at an abortion clinic you can be assured the first question asked would be if the bomber was fundamentalist Christian. Does anybody see a pattern here?

I am certainly seeing a pattern that so many of the Muslims around the world are an angry bunch. In the United States it seems that Muslim proselytizing targets those prone to anger. Why is this religion such a good fit for those types: prisoners, blacks who are angry at society, etc? There are also Christian groups that proselytize in prisons. I have seen those ministries close up and the converts are tamer than they were before. Muslim converts in prison are often angry. Then there is the Nation of Islam that uses their religion to foment hatred and anger among blacks. The media's treatment of Muslims defies the senses.

My comments are not anti-Muslim. They are pointing out that when those of the Muslim community are guilty of crimes the media treats them with kid gloves. When somebody of so called Christian background commits crimes, they cannot rub the Christianity in enough. The media still pushes the lie that atheist Timothy McVeigh was a Christian.

Dingdingding!!! Absolutely right again. We all know that anytime one person shoots another, one of them has to be a Muslim. It's the only logical explanation. The only people in the world who shoot innocent people are Muslims. You never see Christians or Jews do it.

You hit the nail right on the head, AICS! Fight the good fight!

    Mojo,

You are either purposefully avoiding the root of the matter or unable to grasp it. Non-Muslims such as Christians and Jews commit crimes all of the time. Very little of it is related to their religion. They have individual circumstances in their lives that they convince themselves can only be handled by violent activity (such as their girlfriend breaks up with them, etc.)

With Muslims the violence is so frequently related to their mindset of anger and hatred that is continuously fed to them in an organized fashion.

The second point you avoid is that I am emphasizing the media's obsessive compulsion to treat violent Muslims differently than they would a non-Muslim. You read a story and the absence of information that should be known leaps out at you.

As for those on the left, what does it take for them to get angry at Muslims anyway. They get angry at Christians at the drop of a hat, yet Muslims can slaughter people on a regular basis and there is no anger. Why is that?

Your oversimplification of my points cannot be by accident.

You're right, I oversimplified your points. We usually do that in what is called a "flippant" answer. My comment was not meant, in any way, to be a complete analysis of your conclusions. It was simply6 a reaction to the general atmosphere of your analysis.

Well, the root of the matter, as I see it, is that someone's religion should be -- and for the most part is -- treated as entirely irrelevant. There are a billion reasons people kill other people, but as soon as most Americans see the word "Muslim" in the news story, they just naturally assume that was the reason for the malfeasin'. This is the kind of thing the media feeds us... because "Muslim" immediately focuses our attention. SO yeah, you're right... the media does treat Muslims differently -- as easy scapegoats.

Side question: does that make Muslims the new Jews? Is the Zionist conspiracy now being replaced by the Muslim machination? Discuss...

And You never EVER see a shooting by a Christian called out in the media as being done by a Christian. The only time someone's religion ever gets mentioned in these stories is if it's a Muslim perpetrator. Any time you have a mass killing by, say, a Christian (and despite your views to the contrary, they happen all the time) that fact isn't even mentioned -- nobody would ever think to ask the question. But if the person has slightly tinged skin or speaks with an accent, the first question the media asks is, "Is the shooter a Muslim?"

And since the "Left" also includes many devout Christians, I don't understand your last point at all, unless you're intimating that no "true" Christian can have liberal values.

I don't see that at all. The news stories I see seem to attempt at all costs to avoid the offender as Muslim. Even in this case, when the fact comes out from some outlet the media then tries to find some other reason than the Muslim culture of hatred and anger.

It reminds me of the ridiculous M.O. of the Feds to within minutes declare that a violent occurrence does not appear to be related to terrorism. They have no basis to make that statement, but they do.

As for the left, I am not saying they can't be devout Christians. I do see that quite a number of them are quite hostile against Christianity. Perhaps a bit of a broad brush, but that is what I observe.

Yes, he was Muslim, but for the most part the Bosnians were culturally Muslim, not religious. They inter-married and lived in relative peace with their neighbours until the Bosnian War.
What we need to discern is whether he killed because of his religion or just happened to be same wacked out kid who happened to be Muslim. Like the Columbine killings etc. Not sure we will ever know.
