Arnold the incredible changing animal

We keep hearing statements from Arnold every couple of weeks that are so absurdly obvious pandering to the fruits and nuts crowd in Cal-eee-fornia. True conservatives all pushed to vote in McClintock against Arnold. Others claimed that conservatives should vote for Arnold because he was the only GOP who could win. I will give Arnold a few points for trying to do a few conservative things in the state. He tried hard with his ballot initiatives and was soundly defeated. So Arnold has been changing animals with each passing year. He started out an elephant (GOP). It then became obvious he was a RINO (Republican in name only). Now he has become a Panda (panderer). Of course, as his pandering becomes so obscenely ridiculous he is looking more and more like a Jackass.

He started out with a bold announcement that global warming is man-made. He then announced he was going to get rid of his Hummer. There have been a few ridiculous statements in recent weeks I can't remember but I vividly remember the "gag me" response I had. Now he comes out with a statement against using the National Guard for enforcing the border. So please tell us Arnold what the solution is? He has no solution, yet he opens his mouth. Classic Jackass.

The question is has Arnold sold enough of his soul, his reputation and his credibility to cause the fruits and nuts of California to vote him back in? Time will tell whether he will show himself enoough of a jackass for them to vote for him instead of the Democrat jackass.

Please do not mistake my chuckles at reading your article, because it was very well written and the way you applied the analogies is why I found myself laughing.

I actually must admit I had to agree with you.

No my friends in CA tell me that after he got his A$$ handed to him in Nov over all those Refs that he supported he's sweating it.

He's even pandering to the Illegals and their allies. They don't call it the Peoples Rep. of CA for nothing.

I don't think he has a chance and will go down with a lot of other GOPers no matter what Rove says.

Thanks Housewife. Your chuckles and others are what I was hoping for. Sometimes in politics I must laugh to keep from crying.

Joe, I agree he will likely go down.

    Hey pal,
what is your take on bush's sudden interest in Immigration?? Millions of jobs have gone overseas and even more Millions of Illegals have come across the border under his tenure as Prez and now he is finally interested??? Pandering at it's best!!

    Joe,

The inaction of Bush and all politicians on the illegal immigration issue makes me very angry.

I have stated before that the Dems could take it all if they came down on the right side of this issue. However, they won't do it either.

I have to agree that pandering is a correct word to use here. John Hindraker from Powerline Blog wrote a great post that told Bush to get up and state that while he still believes in (xyz) the people have made their position clear and he will act by the will of the people. Sounds like a good plan, but Bush wants to stave off the conservatives while pandering to the hispanic vote. It can't be done and for that reason you may be right about November.

    Joe,

Tremendous idea! You seem to be in agreement with many of the framers of the Constitution, as well as George Washington, who warned the new nation against becoming a two-party country. As much as I support the Republican Party over the Democratic Party because they generally are more in line with my views, I would love to see several other parties begin to gain power. A third party hasn't gained any traction for a long time, but maybe in this age of technology and information, things could be different over the next 20 years.

First of all I will try to do my best to answer Joe, but please forgive me if I am not at my best today because I am in ill health at the moment, also this is a very sad day for me as well.

American for countless numbers of peoples in various countries sees the country as a dream or a paradise of sorts for many generations. At times, people where granted asylum to come because of dangers in their own country which I am sad to say in some cases is getting to not be the case.

As for companies going overseas, I am and always will be angry at this because it was the beginning of the countries demise so to speak. Some people do not know that some of these countries the people to work in these factories where promised a good wage to care for their families and most times this wasn’t so, for example Syria is one of these countries; this has been mentioned to me countless times from people in Syria. Otherwise, they work long hours for pennies. So some people in Syria or angry at the Americans because of this, as well as their own government for lying to them.

Something in the last several years in America that I found deployable especially among young men, who would rather live off their parents then go to work and be responsible people. For some if they wasn’t making ten dollars and hour to sit on their bottoms instead of starting at the bottom for instance and working up with some minimal job, it was a lot easier for them to become a bum and live on money maybe their parents where trying to save for retirement.

Then when get people like is from Mexico for example and I would think most of you know that the conditions in Mexico have been substandard for far too long. These people would rather chance coming into this country to take that McDonald’s job because they know if they budget their money they can actually take care of their families where in Mexico they couldn’t. Also, just maybe, that bicycle that their child has dreamed of for such along time; they have a chance to now buy it for them.

I know of someone personally, who came into America several years ago; because their was no work in their home country and the country being at war made it even harder for them to feed their children. They took the chance to come to America to work at any kind of job, long hours and much personal sacrifice to themselves so they could send money home so their children did not starve.

Then we get to Bush’s to little to late program, the Mexican immigration system I do agree should have been regulated along time ago. Maybe, not to completely shut these people out but like the immigration procedures use to be, so certain number of people could come into America per year. And for those people that use trucks or what ever other means to sneak people in to the country should have been hung a long time ago mainly because they wanted the money often times and did not care if the people trying to sneak here lived or died.

Now we need to get back to the last thought on the employment issue, do not blame the immigrants for taking jobs, or for the collapsing economic woe’s that is happening it is bad in American but it also is a global economic collapse. Just my opinion mind you, but blame the lax system that allowed companies to leave America in the first place that caused the snow ball effect. Along, with what is causing the continual collapse, even I find it hard that America is sinking like the Titanic.

Illegal Immigrants Returning To Mexico For American Jobs

MEXICO CITY—As dozens of major American corporations continue to move their manufacturing operations to Mexico, waves of job-seeking Mexican immigrants to the United States have begun making the deadly journey back across the border in search of better-paying Mexican-based American jobs.

"I came to this country seeking the job I sought when I first left this country," said Anuncio Reyes, 22, an undocumented worker who recrossed the U.S. border into Mexico last month, three years after leaving Mexico for the United States to work as an agricultural day laborer. "I spent everything I had to get back here. Yes, it was dangerous, and I miss my home. But as much as I love America, I have to go where the best American jobs are."

Reyes now works as a spot-welder on the assembly line of a Maytag large-appliance plant and earns $22 a day, most of which he sends back to his family in the U.S., who in turn send a portion of that back to the original family they left in Mexico. Like many former Mexican-Americans forced by circumstance to become American-Mexicans, Reyes dreams of one day bringing his relatives to Mexico so that they, too, may secure American employment in Mexico.

"The American Dream is alive and well in Mexico," Reyes said. "If I work hard, save my money, and plan well, I will be able to send my children to a good school—and who knows? If they study hard, perhaps they will get jobs someday at the new plant General Motors is building in China."

I agree that the system in the states of making it "normal" for the two parties and extremely difficult for any others is severely flawed. It's so hard for parties like the constitution/libertartian/green/whatever to get noticed with special treatment for the first and second parties - which are one and the same if you ask me. In yet another area - it's own election system - government meddles and mends and gets nothing of worth accomplished.

I start laughing when I think of Arnold behind a big desk being governor...all I can think of are his multiple and hilariously bad one-liners in most of his movies. "Hmmmm...National Gawd on ze bordah? I'm going to deport your head from your body!!!! Aaaaarrgh!!"
