Once again another country shows us how it is done

Japan has cut an amazing 10% of its government workforce. The fairhaired prime minister Junichiro was recently re-elected and is making good on a promise to shrink government. We can learn two things here: keeping a campaign promise and shrinking government. The US federal, state and local governments are so bloated, they could cut 10% and probably not even notice the difference.

There are several countries out there showing the US how it is done. How to cut government. Implementing a flat tax. How to deal with terrorists in your country, etc. While we should shun liberals pointing to places like Europe as the model for socialism, there is much to learn from other countries.
